We asked the Smart Patients online community how their participation in clinical trial design would affect their willingness to participate. Key themes emerged: increased willingness to participate, patient-centered design, enhanced trust and hope, need for inclusivity and understanding, skepticism and uncertainty, and interest in the outcome.
